Dana King is a classical figurative sculptor who creates public monuments of Black Bodies in Bronze. She studies the strength and resilience of African descendants and creates pieces made of clay with her hands that are then cast in bronze.

Lillian Yvette Jenkins (she/her), Outreach

Lillian Yvette Jenkins is the catalyst behind marketing and social media strategy for Yahoo!, Johnson & Johnson, Banana Republic/Gap, ModCloth, Blue Shield of California and more. She is passionate about BIPOC issues and leverages marketing (with an emphasis on social media) to tell compelling stories that move people to action. Lillian is a Bay Area native and is the founder of SavvyClick Marketing.

Sydney Cain, Supportive Artist

A.k.a sage stargate, is a visual artist born and raised in San Francisco. Her work has been a reflection of an unseen reality we experience. Cain produces works on paper largely using dye, lithography, graphite and chalk as emblems of impermanence and transformation. These specific materials act as ciphers to assist decoding these “unseen realities.”

Wanda Sabir (she/her), Libation Ceremony Organizer

Wanda Sabir is a journalist and poet moonlighting as a college professor in Alameda (wandaspicks.com). Her interests and expertise are historic & persistent trauma and trauma healing—the Maafa, specifically ancestral memories, dream tending and the use of Art & Appreciative Inquiry to stimulate those forgotten conversations, especially among Diaspora descendants free and legally enslaved. A Depth Psychologist, she is co-founder & CEO of MAAFA San Francisco Bay Area and recipient of the Distinguished 400 Award, 400 Years of African American History Commission (2019) and the Love Not Blood Campaign: Unsung Hero Award (2021).

Jas Florentino (they/them), Organizer

A public health professional specializing in Health Promotion and Social Justice through Health Communication work. Jas is currently serving as the Social Media Coordinator at NMAC, formerly known as the National Minority AIDS Council, located in DC. Within their position, they create educational tools, media strategies, and assist in implementing HIV-related programs to assist in ending the HIV epidemic while supporting those currently living with HIV.
